How to Make Flowers Made of Toilet Paper
Toilet paper is a great medium to turn into folded craft items. It can be used to make lovely flower shapes that can brighten a bathroom for guests. These won't take you long to master and they can be used to decorate craft projects or placed on display in their own right.
Steps
- Place 5 squares of toilet paper on top of each other. Align them as neatly as you can.
- Fold the paper into a fan shape. When folded, pinch the fan shape in the middle with your finger.
- Tie a bobble, pipe cleaner piece or elastic band around the middle. This will keep the fan in shape.
- Gently fluff out the pieces of paper. Since you have various layers of paper to play with, experiment to see what can be produced. With a bit of effort in shaping, you will form a lovely rose, or other imagined flower.
- Pull with care. It is easy to tear toilet paper. You may need to try a few times before you get the hang of it.
- Keep fluffing and pulling until the desired design is formed.
- Repeat the process to make more. If you make a series of flowers, you could either use them as part of a craft project, or place them in a row for a pretty decoration. They work well attached to a wreath too.
Things You'll Need
- Toilet paper: white, pink or blue, etc.
- Something to tie the paper together with, e.g., a rubber band, elastic, pipe cleaner piece, etc.
